We try very hard to ensure that our new starters get a warm welcome on our Trust Welcome. This is a virtual welcome, conducted on MS Teams, intended to give you the “must-know” information as soon as you start with us.
You will therefore be invited to attend a live online Trust Welcome, ideally on your first day. At this session you will receive a welcome from Adam Sewell-Jones, our Chief Executive, followed by a programme that will include information around:
- Health and Safety
- Infection Control
- Manual Handling
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Online training portal – ENH Academy
The Trust Welcome is the start of your induction journey with us. We take the induction and development of our starters very seriously, and you will receive a local induction plan which will be completed in discussion with your manager. Additionally, there will be a range of on line training that you will be required to undertake when you start with us, dependent on your role. You will receive full information on how to access ENH Academy, our learning management system, which allows you to view your training on line and book for future learning events.
As well as the Trust Welcome, you may be required to attend a clinical induction relevant to your role, and you will be provided with this information before you start, or just afterwards.
Your line manager will also provide you with a local induction to familiarise you with your ward or department, introduce you to your colleagues and help you find your way around. They will complete our local induction checklist to ensure everything you need to know is covered.
