About us
Bluebell ward is our paediatric ward. We look after patients who are coming in for planned admissions and patients who are referred from the children’s emergency department. We have 20 beds of which 8 are cubicles, 2 with en-suites. We look after children from 0 to 16 years of age.
Philosophy of the ward
We pride ourselves in providing holistic and family-centered care. We provide high-quality specialist treatment and care. We want to create optimal conditions in order to see the best outcomes for our patients. You might see all kinds of staff on the ward including sisters, nurses, nursing assistants, clinical nurse specialists, physiotherapists and play specialists.
Parent and patient facilities
There is a parent kitchen in the corridor between Bluebell and Bramble Ward. There are toilet and showers on the ward. We have TVs at every bed space.
Play facilities
We have a play specialist and play room with outdoor space.
