An urgent and emergency care coordinator will triage patients to identify the most appropriate place for them to be assessed and treated.

The GP heralded service is to be used for:
- CAU (Children’s Ambulatory Unit) vs. outpatient appointment referral queries
- Referrals to rapid access clinic
- General advice for semi-urgent issues
