We understand that a viewing is a personal choice and can help in the grieving process, if you would like to see your loved one after death a viewing can be arranged in the hospital in our non-religious or spiritual specialised room as shown. This room offers you comfort to spend some time with your loved one in a non-medical setting.
To book a viewing appointment, please contact the bereavement assistant to discuss availability and your requirements. Bereavement services will need to make certain checks before confirming an appointment but this should not cause a delay, please do not be alarmed by this. You will also be asked for the number of people attending and that all visitors bring a form of identification, this can be
- A passport
- Driving License
- Bank/credit card
- Other – please discuss this with the team member who confirms the appointment.
You are welcome to bring items that you may wish to leave with your loved one, however please first discuss this with the Bereavement team, we will ensure that anything left with your loved one stays with them at all times.
