The death of a loved one is a very difficult time; we offer you our condolences at this sad time.
The bereavement services are here to offer you practical and emotional support. If your loved one passed away in the hospital and you were able to be with them the hospital staff should have given you a copy of the bereavement booklet, if you did not receive a booklet please use the link below to access an electronic copy on the Bereavement support website.
If your loved one passed away in the community please refer to the community section for guidance on what happens next or please call us to discuss this. Alternatively, please access an electronic copy of our Community Bereavement Booklet.
The Bereavement Office is open for telephone enquiries and appointments from 9am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday. We understand that some people would rather have a face to face discussion rather than over the telephone, so if you would prefer this please contact the office to book an appointment with a member of staff so that we can make sure that we have a private room available for you.
Please call the Bereavement Assistant on 01438 284634, If your call goes through to the voicemail service, it is because we may be talking to another family on the phone. If you leave a message we will return your call as soon as possible.
Please note: The Bereavement Office is closed at weekends and during public holidays. The office will not be attended until the next normal working day. It is possible for you to leave a message on our confidential voicemail system during these times.
