The Giving Tree
Over the years and during the pandemic, Lister’s Critical Care have been providing quality and safe care to the public with meagre resources. Intentions to donate for the improvements of Critical Care. Your relative may have received the best care you will ever get from the NHS and any form of giving back to improve our Critical Care facility is very much welcome. This would help the next patient who could be in your relative’s shoes. Please speak to our consultants or Senior Nurse Managers if you would want to sponsor the unit as a way of gratitude. Alternatively, you can view the Giving Tree page on our Hospitals’ Charity website.
Sun Terrace:
Intensive care patients in the Trust could soon visit a new sun terrace to aid their recovery. Please contact the unit or our Hospitals’ Charity, or view the website for more information.
The proposed development would sit on level four of the tower building, located towards the centre of the hospital, and accessed via a ramp. Two terrace bays will be able to accommodate a patient bed and two guest seats each.
“The introduction of a sun terrace to the intensive treatment unit will enable patients to have an elevated level of care,” the Trust’s design and access statement reads. “Exposure to natural light, fresh air and nature is encouraged to aid recovery of the patients.
