Hospital developments
East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is undergoing one of the most significant investment programmes to the trust’s estates in recent years.
Though the trust was not selected as one of the UK government’s recipients for funding from the New Hospital Programme – which launched in 2020 – with funding from NHS England, the Backlog Maintenance Fund and other sources, we are investing in our hospital buildings, facilities and infrastructure to improve the environment for patients, visitors and staff, while supporting the delivery of high-quality care.
Alongside this, a range of improvement projects have already been completed, are currently under way or are planned for the future. Some of these developments have also enabled new and improved services to open across the site.
