It’s an exciting time for Theatres. We work in brand new services with a highly motivated team who are always working hard to support our patients, and each other. We’re also expanding, so we’re looking for theatre nurses, operating department practitioners and health care support workers who share our excitement for our future.
Our 17 theatres and 2 procedure rooms provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology is second to none. This includes fully integrated and equipped theatres, use of modern technology such as the Da Vinci Robot, and Laminar flow theatres. The hospital also has an existing new project underway where new procedure rooms and a vascular hybrid centre is under construction. We continue to undergo significant transformation and our staff and patients are at the heart of delivering this ambitious agenda. We have ambitious plans to become an outstanding patient lead trust where dedicated staff provide high quality and compassionate care to our patients. Our hospital theatre team comprises Consultants and Practitioners who have vast experience and knowledge across a range of specialties. There are many complex procedures carried out daily, across a range of acute specialities.
If you’re looking to start a career within Theatres or develop your current career further, we’re the place to be. Our effort goes into our people – we work hard to develop together here. Our workforce are engaged, flexible and skilled. We are also pioneers! We are one of only a few in the country to carry out robotic surgery, we’re also the first in the UK to use a radio emission laser or evolve biolitec laser for prostatectomy within day surgery. Could you join our forward-thinking team?

Working in an operating theatre is a fabulous job! Being able to be there for patients who are feeling worried and frightened.
