Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
Due to the current situation around COVID-19 and the government guidance around ceasing non-essential contact to reduce the spread of the virus, we are urging our regular volunteers aged over 70 or with any underlying health conditions not to come into the hospital for their volunteering duties until further notice.
We take our responsibilities around patient, staff and volunteer health and wellbeing extremely seriously and want to protect those who are most vulnerable. We value our volunteers beyond measure as well as the enormous contribution they make to the hospital. The safety of our volunteer colleagues is of paramount importance, and, following national advice, we want to be as proactive as possible in minimising any potential risk to our volunteers’ friends, family and loved ones.
We are currently processing areas of need for new volunteer roles, and if you are not in any of the above risk categories, or care for anyone at home who is in one of the above risk categories, and would like to be considered for any of these new roles please email email@example.com with your expression of interest. A member of our team will then be in touch
Our amazing team of volunteers come in all ages, from many different backgrounds, bringing with them a wealth of varied skills.
We want all our volunteers to fulfill their potential and make a real difference to our patients’ experience.
We work hard to ensure that we recruit the right volunteers who are committed to supporting the work of the Trust.
