East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking people from our local communities to join our Research and Development Board as Patient and Public Representatives (sometimes known as lay members). This is an opportunity to influence how research is prioritised, developed and supported across the trust, ensuring that the voices of patients, carers and the public help shape the future of healthcare.
The role is fixed term for three years. Successful applicants will be supported through an induction programme running from November to December 2026 and will attend their first Research and Development Board meeting on 6 January 2027.
You do not need previous experience of research or working within the NHS. We are looking for individuals who are interested in improving health services, willing to share their perspectives, and committed to helping us understand what matters most to the people and communities we serve.
We are particularly keen to hear from people whose experiences and perspectives are currently under-represented in research.
