Neurology is a type of medicine that deals with disorders of the nervous system. To be more specific it deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of disease which involve the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels and all effector tissue – such as muscle.
Patients are seen in outpatient clinics by the consultants at Lister, New QEII and Hertford County.
We also have close links with The Royal Free Hospital in London and should patients require admission to a ward, then they will be sent there.
