Pre-operative assessment

The pre-operative assessment service is for adult patients who are booked in for an elective (planned) operation or procedure. Preparation and planning before your operation or procedure helps to ensure that you are fully informed about what will happen and how to manage your recovery and that you are in the best health before your admission.

Pre-operative assessment clinics are run by our nursing teams at both the Lister Hospital and the New QEII Hospital:

• Lister Hospital – 8.15am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 5pm on Friday
• New QEII Hospital – 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday in the blue zone on the first floor. For questions about your appointment at the New QEII, call 01707 247633
