Patients and visitors to Lister Hospital, Stevenage, are being advised to plan ahead as roadworks in the surrounding areas will likely cause delays.
North Road
Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) have confirmed that their works affecting North Road, Stevenage, have been delayed. This means the road closure has been extended to Monday 16 September. After Monday 16 September, North Road will fully re-open, but the new junction to the housing development will operate under temporary traffic lights until the permanent lights are installed in late October.
Graveley Road and Graveley Lane
Affinity Water will be carrying out works on Graveley Road. These works will be under traffic management (signal controls) from Tuesday 17 September to Monday 28 October. A full road closure will be in place on Graveley Lane from Monday 30 September to Saturday 21 December.
Coreys Mill Lane (east side)
During the October half-term week (28 October-1 November), there will be works on Coreys Mill Lane (to the east of the hospital entrance). These works will be carried out under multi-way (temporary) traffic signals, from Monday 28 October for a period of 5 days.
We know road closures can be frustrating for staff, patients and visitors accessing Lister Hospital. We will continue to share any updates when we hear them. Please note these may change at short notice.
