Hip and knee operations to continue as scheduled

You may have seen national news stories about possible delays to hip and knee operations due to a shortage of a product used in these procedures. Patients can be reassured that East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is not currently affected.

The trust uses a different product supplier of medical cement to the one facing delays, and is not currently experiencing shortages.

If you are booked in for a hip or knee operation, you should expect your care to continue as scheduled. We will contact you directly if this changes.
