On Monday 26 June 2023, the Trust launched the Respiratory Lung Function Community Diagnostic Hub (CDH) Referral Assessment Service.
General Practitioners can refer patients directly for lung function testing through e-RS. This is a service for patients with suspected airways or interstitial lung disease and for the assessment of treatment efficacy, disease severity and progression.
Please see guidance documentation on e-RS for exclusion criteria and contraindications.
For more information, please contact the team on [email protected]
Patients will be invited to attend a face-to-face lung function test appointment if they meet the set criteria. GPs will be notified via email of the diagnostic outcome and will be responsible to liaise directly with patients to discuss next steps.
If the GP wants advice or results reviewed, they should send this request through the General Respiratory Advice and Guidance pathway, which is separate.
