Dr Sridharan was appointed as a consultant nephrologist and peritoneal dialysis lead at the Trust in 2017. He completed his renal training in the North Thames training programme in 2017. During this time, he also completed his PhD at the University of Hertfordshire, where his research focus was on energy expenditure in kidney disease and its implications for management.
Dr Sridharan’ sub-speciality interests include haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and nutritional aspects of kidney disease. He is leading the peritoneal dialysis programme at the Trust and along with Dr Vilar, manages the home therapies unit. He is also interested in newer models of care and is part of the team running the telemedicine renal clinic.
Dr Sridharan also holds an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer post at University of Hertfordshire and is involved in various research projects and supervision of PhD research students.
