Simon Greenfield

I trained in London and did my MD thesis on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)  at St Thomas’ Hospital.  I have been a consultant since February 1996 and am currently Clinical Director of the Gastroenterology Service (since April 2018). I was former Chair, Deputy Chair and Secretary to the Clinical Services and Standards Committee of  the British Society of Gastroenterology (2010-2016) responsible for guideline production.  I was also an Associate Editor of GUT and former Regional Advisor for Gastroenterology in the East of England.

I have published widely on gastrointestinal bleeding, IBD and colorectal cancer
