Mr Deol is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a specialist interest in surgery of the foot & ankle. His practice also includes the management of general orthopaedic conditions, hip and knee arthroplasty and trauma.
Having studied medicine at King’s College London, he undertook basic surgical training in the London region, followed by Higher Surgical Training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery on the London North West Thames programme. He was then selected for advanced fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery, with a focus on sports-related injuries and the latest arthroscopic techniques, at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. He has undertaken travelling fellowships to Holland and world-leading trauma units in the USA.
Mr Deol has written book chapters on foot and ankle conditions and presented work, both nationally and internationally. He has been awarded an MSc and Diploma from Imperial College London.
Having a keen interest in teaching and training, he has been faculty and lecturer on courses and supervises trainees from both the London and East of England rotations. He has been part of selection panels from undergraduate medical entry to higher surgical training. He is currently the departmental Lead for the Foundation Year and Core Surgical Trainees.
