Mr Sattin was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in 1995. He qualified from St Thomas’ Hospital in London in 1984. He completed his training as a Registrar and Senior Registrar at St George’s Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital.
He leads the outpatient service for hysteroscopy for menstrual problems and to investigate possible cancers in women with bleeding after the menopause. Through outpatient hysteroscopy clinic he offers local anaesthetic procedures to remove polyps and ablate endometrium and difficult coil fittings or removal. He has extensive experience in hysteroscopic surgery including fibroid resection and performs laparoscopic surgery including removing benign ovarian cysts and hysterectomy for low grade endometrial (uterine) cancers.
As Chair of Women’s Services Mr Sattin has been the senior clinical manager for both Maternity and Gynaecology services since 2011. He is dedicated to ensuring that we provide the best possible services to our patients and shares responsibility for the performance, effectiveness, safety, responsiveness and care given by department. He has previously been college tutor and clinical director.
