Ms Daruwalla trained and worked in leading centres of excellence in the UK and internationally and has extensive experience across the full range of plastic and reconstructive procedures. She has particular expertise in hypospadias, skin cancer surgery including oncological dissections and complex reconstructions, ensuring both oncological safety and the best possible functional and aesthetic outcomes.
She is known for her clear communication, approachable manner and careful attention to detail. She takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options fully, supporting patients through what can often be a challenging and anxious period.
Alongside her clinical work, Ms Daruwalla has contributed nationally as a peer reviewer for the National Cancer Peer Review Programme, a Specialist Clinical Advisor to the Care Quality Commission, Clinical Lead for the Hertfordshire & West Essex ICB and is an elected member of the British Medical Association’s Consultant Committee.
She is also an educational supervisor for resident doctors, appraiser for consultant colleagues and has led several innovations within the Trust, to improve quality of care offered to patients including the development of regional skin cancer pathways and services.
