Dr Jain was appointed as consultant in General and Elderly Medicine in 1997. He is based at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital and works dually in elderly medicine and general medicine, responsible for inpatients with a wide variety of medical disorders.
After studying and qualifying in India, Dr Jain had further training at the Royal Free Hospital and London Chest Hospital, thereafter being appointed as consultant. Dr Jain has particular interests in heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases affecting the elderly. This extends further to falls, syncope and falls prevention.
Dr Jain is involved closely in medical education at all levels and presently holds the position of honorary Senior Lecturer, in affiliation with the Royal Free/UCL Medical School. He has also been appointed the position of clinical tutor within the Trust.
Dr Jain is dedicated to the improvement and development of patient care within our local community, also serving as clinical director for elderly medicine for the Trust.
