Mr CP Lim joined the team at Lister hospital in 2018. He specialises in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, including advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. He is an expert in complex endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
Mr Lim was one of only a handful of nationally selected individuals to have completed the RCOG training in advanced laparoscopy. He achieved this in the north east of England, at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. He received his earlier specialty training from the north of Scotland. He has published and presented widely in the field of minimally invasive surgery. He is an active member of the specialist society, British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and attends numerous courses in advanced gynaecological surgery across the country as teaching faculty.
Mr Lim leads a specialist endometriosis and pelvic pain service, which is now a provisionally accredited endometriosis centre by the BSGE. He believes that endometriosis is under-recognised and that just because some women have the condition, it doesn’t mean they have to suffer with it. He performs advanced laparoscopic procedures for conditions such as complex endometriosis, uterine fibroids and heavy painful periods.
