I am a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a special interest in adult and paediatric ear-related diseases and hearing rehabilitation.
I qualified from the University of Southampton and undertook my postgraduate surgical and ENT training within the Wessex and East of England regions before joining East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in 2019.
At the end of my training, I was awarded the prestigious Otology and Hearing Implant fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge where I gained further experience in complex ear and hearing surgery.
In addition, I had also undertaken the BAETS Head and Neck and Thyroid fellowship in Hamburg and am currently a core member of the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Head and Neck cancer MDT.
My clinical attachment at the University of Malaya Medical Centre, Malaysia, sponsored by the Ethicon Travelling Grant from the Royal College of Surgeons, allowed me further training in the field of rhinology and anterior skull base.
During my career, I completed a PhD looking at the various occupational hazards affecting ENT surgeons, focusing on work-related musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomics.
My keen interest in research has resulted in an extensive publication record with over 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals, many of which I have presented worldwide.
I have also authored book chapters and won awards, including the coveted Matthew Yung prize at the Royal Society of Medicine.
I firmly believe in practising evidence-based medicine, personalising it for every individual patient to deliver the best quality of care.
