Martin is the Chief Executive of East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust.
A highly experienced and values-driven NHS leader, Martin has over 25 years’ experience working at senior and Board level across a range of NHS organisations. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive, he served as the trust’s Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Chief Executive, playing a central role in strengthening organisational performance, governance, financial sustainability and strategic development.
Martin is recognised for his collaborative leadership style, strong focus on improvement and ability to bring people together behind a shared vision. He is passionate about creating high-performing organisations where staff feel empowered to innovate, improve and deliver outstanding care for patients.
Throughout his career, Martin has led major transformation programmes, organisational turnaround initiatives and service improvement programmes, developing a reputation as a pragmatic and effective leader who combines strategic thinking with a relentless focus on delivery and outcomes.

Martin is a qualified accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants (CIPFA).
