New NHS performance league tables, published today, show East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust as the highest-ranked acute hospital trust in the east of England.
The new national rankings updated every three months, compare how trusts across England are performing in key services such as urgent and emergency care, planned operations, as well as how efficiently they are run. Each trust is placed into one of four segments – with Segment 1 representing those facing fewer challenges, and Segment 4 those with the greatest challenges.
East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust has been placed in Segment 2, with only a specialist respiratory hospital and two community trusts in the region achieving a higher ranking. The trust is ranked 19th of 134 acute and specialist trusts in the country.
Adam Sewell-Jones, Chief Executive of the trust, said:
“It’s really encouraging that we have ranked so highly in the new NHS league tables – and it is a real testament to the dedication of our teams, including those providing frontline clinical care and those in vital corporate and support roles behind the scenes.
“That said, we are always looking to improve. I encourage patients, visitors and our communities to share their feedback, whether through the Friends and Family Test, by getting involved in improvement projects, or by joining events such as our Annual General Meeting next week.”
