North Herts Medical Society and RCGP GP Update Day
The GP Update Day is held twice a year around July and November time and is run by the RCGP in conjunction with the North Herts Medical Society at Lister Education Centre, Stevenage. It is a full day course aimed and planned for GPs. The contents of the day are carefully planned out to help GPs keep updated on topics that they come across in their everyday practice. It is also an excellent opportunity to network with GP colleagues in the area.
Joint Trainers’ Workshop
The Joint Trainers’ Workshop is held twice a year for the Central Hertfordshire GP Trainers and Associate Trainers. A full day workshop is held in May at Lister Education Centre and then a two day course is held in November in various locations, most recently in Southwold Suffolk. 9 hours CPD are awarded for attendance at the full two days. The purpose of the workshops is to discuss issues relating to the Educator role and to keep up to date on all processes and guidelines relating to the education of GP trainees. This is also an excellent opportunity to network with Trainer and Associate Trainer colleagues in a supportive environment.
