Ms Jeyarajah started as a consultant with the Trust in October 2017. She is the only female colorectal surgeon at the Trust and one of a small minority nationally.

She trained in the Northeast Thames region, with a final year as Laparoscopic Fellow at the Lister with Mr Nick Reay-Jones. During the course of her training she has completed her research degree in Diverticular Disease and Epidemiology at Kings College London. In addition, she has worked on design and project management for surgical simulation applications for both educational and theatre work flow settings. She is a faculty member of the CCrISP, ATLS and Basic Surgical Skills courses and forms part of the National Surgical Higher Training Selection Committee.

Her surgical interests include surgical treatment of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, gall bladder disease, hernia surgery and all minor proctological conditions. She performs lower gastro-intestinal endoscopy.

She has sub-specialist expertise in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and looks to work alongside the team to advance the colorectal techniques and capabilities at the Lister.

She is married and has two children. She is an active long distance runner, enjoys tennis and is a keen baker.
