Mount Vernon Cancer Centre is a leading cancer treatment and research establishment, one of only four Centres of Excellence in the United Kingdom. Mount Vernon offers patients radiotherapy and local chemotherapy services and its specialist staff are involved in the research of both new and potential cancer treatments.
The centre is based in Northwood, Middlesex and is home to the first state-of-the-art radiotherapy system, Cyberknife, which provides a wider range of treatment choices for cancer patients.

The centre not only supports surrounding hospitals, but we can accept national and international referrals for our private services from all insured and self-paying patients.
Mount Vernon Cancer Centre offers the following state-of-the-art facilities:-
- Our brand new private radiotherapy facilities offer the latest technology in radiotherapy equipment. This includes Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and an On-Board Imager (OBI), which is used for image guided conformal treatment and clinical trials in radiotherapy, Varian Linear Accelerators, Varian Acuity Simulators, wide bore Siemens Sensation CT with virtual simulation, Phillips Accusim and the Accuray Cyberknife® robotic radiosurgery system
- Chemotherapy, including complex chemotherapy inpatient and day case, is offered in the purpose built chemotherapy unit, where we are also exploring the delivery of standalone private chemotherapy. The unit also offers clinical trials and scalp cooling treatments.
- Our Brachytherapy suite is the only suite in the world to use an MRI insitu. The Suite also offers Gamma Med and Open Bore MRI.

Mount Vernon Cancer Centre also offers three independently run facilities, which support cancer patients. These include the Michael Sobell House, the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre and the multi award winning Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre.
