Outpatient Services

Our Trust offers a range of outpatient services across three hospital – Lister hospital, QEII hospital and Hertford County hospital. These services are supported by contact centres based at the Lister and QEII.

Lister hospital - the outpatient department is based mainly on level three and can be accessed via the hospital’s main entrance.

QEII hospital – the main outpatient department is based on levels 2 & 3 and can be accessed via its own entrance, which is close to the front of the hospital.  The breast clinic is located on level 1 towards the rear of the hospital.  Please be aware that the New QEII Hospital, which is located on the same overall site, is on track to open from Spring 2015.  When this happens, all outpatient clinics – including the breast clinic – will take place in the new hospital.

Hertford County hospital - a purpose built outpatient and diagnostic facility, with all outpatient clinics accessed via the hospital’s main entrance.

Car parking

Patient parking is available at all our hospitals, with:

  • Pay and display at Hertford County and QEII hospitals
  • A multi-storey car park at the Lister that uses a coin chip system, with payment made afterwards for the time used by cash or card.

All car parks can get busy at peak times, so please leave plenty of time to park.

Plastic surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, renal and some paediatric outpatient services are managed directly by their respective specialty teams. All other outpatient services are managed by the Trust’s central appointments team, who can be contacted on 01438 284444.  You can find the location of your appointment on the letters that we send you.

For queries relating to inpatient procedures (operations), radiology (x-rays and scans) or blood tests, please refer to the relevant page of the website for contact information.
