Michael Sobell House

Michael Sobell Hospice, situated at Mount Vernon hospital in Northwood, Middlesex, provides specialist palliative care, comfort and support to patients and their families facing cancer and life-limiting illness.

A professional team offers medical, nursing and emotional care along with practical support. Our aim is that every patient should experience a journey towards the end of their life that is peaceful, comfortable and free from worry and pain.

Michael Sobell Hospice Charity funds over £1.6 million pounds each year to ensure the continued funding of essential local hospice care services, which include:

  • A day care therapy centre
  • A 16-bedded in-patient unit
  • A patient and family support (PAFS) team
  • A bereavement support service

All of the above services are provided free of charge, by raising an annual contribution of £1,600,000 through various fundraising activities.

Voluntary donations fund these vital contributions.
