Our community midwifery teams offer a full range of antenatal services, parent education, birthing at home and postnatal care locally.
We provide a flexible service which enables women to have more choice about where to access care.

Antenatal appointments will be held at either your GP surgery, children’s centre or at the Lister, Hertford County or QEII Hospitals.

Having your baby at home
The community midwifery service provides a 24-hour on call service to support women who wish to have their baby at home. Please speak to your community midwife to discuss this further.
Postnatal Care
The first appointment following the birth of your baby will be at home and then visits will be arranged as required with your community midwife.
