At Mount Vernon we provide a wide range of service to meet our staff’s and visitors’ needs.
Coffee shop
The Comforts Fund volunteer group run a coffee shop in the cancer outpatients department. It provides hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm
Restaurant
The Oak Tree restaurant is in the main building, past the reception area. It serves a wide range of hot meals.
Opening times
Monday to Sunday from 7am to 7.45pm
Shops
There is a newsagent’s on site run by The Comforts Fund volunteer group. It is open from 11am to 3pm
There is also a trolley service that goes around the ward, nicknamed ‘the Tardis’, as it sells everything!
Car parking
We do have a pay and display car park, however there are limited spaces and on busy days it can be difficult to find a space. There is a drop-off area and we have reserved spaces for people with a disability parking permit.
Parking Charges
Free for the first 30 minutes, then £3.20 for 12 hours.
For our patients who have an appointment at the cancer centre tokens are available from the car park office. The tokens cost £1 for patients who can show their cancer centre appointment letter and cover a 10 hour period.
