Opened in February 2010 the new centre will help us advance our research into chemotherapy treatment and provide better surrounding for our patients taking part in clinical trials.

How is the CTRT centre benefiting patients and staff?

• We will improve patient care as research and non-research staff will be working more closely together allowing them to share resources and information.
• Better surroundings for patients receiving chemotherapy treatment. The unit has been designed to create a welcoming atmosphere and looks out onto landscaped gardens.
• We will be able to treat more non-research patients. The unit will be used to treat research patients who would normally be treated on wards, which will give us more space to treat non-research patients.
• An expanded and improved waiting area.

The building includes our current chemotherapy and research chemotherapy units and improved office space for our research staff.
