Saturday, 14 September 2013 saw the Trust take responsibility for surgical services that had been provided up until that point by Clinicenta Ltd through the former Surgicentre. This follows an announcement by the East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group on 2 August 2013 that it, the Department of Health and Clinicenta Ltd had reached agreement on the transfer of services to the Trust.
The facility has now been renamed the Treatment Centre and has been integrated fully with the Lister hospital. All existing appointments and bookings will go ahead as previously planned. If you have any questions or concerns, please phone the number on your appointment letter.
The following services for adults are currently provided through the Treatment Centre:
- Day case and inpatient surgery, including routine hip and knee replacements
- Ophthalmology (eyes) outpatient, surgical treatments and the Urgent Eye Clinic
