Multi-storey Car Park

After listening to you about some of the challenges you face parking at the Lister we have built a multi-storey car park to provide around 500 additional spaces.  This will also help us with the increase in demand for car parking when we open new services and transfer existing services from the QEII hospital.

How does the multi-storey car park benefit patients and staff?

  • Pay on exit and only for the time you have parked (this starts from September 2011)
  • We have more blue badge parking places (81 within the multi storey car park)
  • Provides a safe and secure area for people to park in and manned 24/7
  • It should be quicker for members of the public to find a parking space
  • It is in a central location which is convenient for most departments.

Our multi-storey car park:

  • Has 667 spaces
  • Is linked directly to the hospital and has a landscaped plaza in front
  • Has patient transport ambulance parking
  • Provides triple the number of blue badge parking spaces overall on the Lister site.

Project update:

Our new multi-storey car park is now open.  Find out more about the multi-storey car park and getting to the Lister hospital.
