Our hospitals are changing.

Here is the answer to the question we get asked most often:

Is the QEII closing? No, there will be a brand new local general hospital at the QEII that will provide all the same outpatient, diagnostic (x-rays, ultrasounds and blood tests) and ante/post-natal maternity care the existing hospital does today.  When the new QEII opens in a few years time, it will seem just as busy as it always has been.

We know that local people have lots more questions and concerns about the changes taking place at our hospitals.  This is why we’ve placed lots of information, photos of ongoing work and timeframes for the projects taking place at the Lister, QEII, Hertford County and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre on our website.  You can find out more about our projects by clicking on the links below.
