Biography

I trained at Manchester University gaining a First Class Honours degree. As well as my professional qualifications I have a research Degree from University College London, which looked at changes in tumour proteins undergoing a combination of both chemotherapy and radiotherapy. My interests are in lung and lower gastrointestinal cancers. In particular I am keen to develop the stereotactic/cyberknife lung radiotherapy service and I also have a strong research interest in the combined treatment of anal and rectal cancers, with publication success. As a consequence I sit on national committees and am actively involved in submitting grant proposals for funding. I am also the Training Programme Director for North Thames, with the responsibility of organising training for 40 junior oncology doctors across the region
