Biography

I am a Laboratory based Consultant Clinical Scientist, trained mainly at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospitals before moving to work in Essex and now Hertfordshire.

I have worked at E&N Herts NHS Trust since 2004. Within the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory, I have a special interest in assuring the quality of our work and take an active role in teaching and training of laboratory and clinical staff.

I am chair of the Trust’s Point of Care Testing (POCT) Committee, which governs how the quality of POCT tests is controlled and improved, and I lead our POCT team. 

I represent Pathology on the Trust’s Research & Development Steering Group, and co-ordinate Pathology’s contributions to support the Trust’s R&D activities.
