Biography

Qualified from Oxford and London Universities. Trained in General Medicine and Haematology before specialising in Palliative Medicine. Previous consultant posts at the Mildmay Hospital London (HIV/AIDS palliative care) and the Peace Hospice Watford.

The Trust palliative care team offers a consultative service for all patients with palliative care needs regardless of diagnosis. Services include symptom management, complex communication issues, psychological and social support, end of life care and rapid discharge planning. A clinical nurse specialist is available 7 days per week on the hospital site (contact via hospital switch board). Specialist advice is available out of hours through the local hospice help lines
