East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity aims to make a real, positive impact to patient care. We help our hospitals innovate, improve and provide excellent care.
The charity supports patients, staff and visitors to our four hospitals – Hertford County, Lister, QEII and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. We purchase equipment, fund medical research and undertake refurbishment projects that are in addition to the standard work of the NHS.
We rely on voluntary donations – from individuals and organisations – to fund our work. If you would like more information about the charity, have an idea for a fundraising activity or event, or would simply like some fundraising inspiration, contact a member of the charity team today.
Forget Me Not appeal
Our new project is to raise £275,000 to create a dementia friendly environment at the Lister hospital in Stevenage. The aim is to redesign the elderly wards to create a more home from home environment thus reducing the agitation and stress often experienced by dementia sufferers when staying in a hospital environment.
Here if You Need Us appeal
The Here if You Need Us Appeal, which has just been launched, is a fundraising initiative to provide a package of care for all people affected by cancer under the care of the team at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. All funds raised through the appeal will be used to provide a drop-in triage service and a relaxing, peaceful environment for patients and their carers.
