Local people invited to Trust’s Annual General Meeting

The evening of Tuesday, 14 July 2015 sees the Trust hold its annual general meeting (AGM) in the University of Hertfordshire’s Weston Auditorium on its de Havilland Campus in Hatfield (AL10 9EU). The AGM is open to the public, though places must be booked beforehand.

Those who come along to this year’s meeting will have a chance to visit a marketplace of exhibition stands and stalls designed to showcase the Trust’s services, as well as many partner and community organisations. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get involved. There will also be some presentations of the Trust’s operational, financial and clinical performance during 2014/15.

The venue has excellent facilities, including parking – thus providing easy access for those attending. Light food refreshments will also be provided to all attending.

The Trust’s chief executive, Nick Carver, said:

“This year, we’re aiming to get some 450 people to come along to our AGM, making it one of the biggest to be held anywhere in the NHS. We are looking forward to sharing an informative and interactive event for our public members and partners. We will be talking about performance and challenges, changes and successes.

“Every year those who attend our AGM tell us that they learn a great deal about the Trust and the work of our staff. But it is the clinical presentations that draw the most comment – and with several great presentations on this year’s agenda, we don’t expect that to change. ”

The AGM’s venue is the Weston Auditorium on the University of Hertfordshire’s de Havilland Campus in Hatfield. The event is in two parts, with time to talk to hospital teams and community partners between 5.00 and 6.30pm in the market place, followed by formal presentations and time to ask questions from 6.30 to 8.00pm.

The meeting, which is open to the public and reviews the Trust’s performance for the 12 months to March 2015, has limited places available that must be booked beforehand.
